How to Access resources via the Electronic Library

To discover what ebooks and ejournals we have in our collection use MetSearch.  For seamless access to resources don't forget to 'Sign in' to MetSearch (see top right hand corner). 

Not everything is surfaced using MetSearch, for example statistics and legal information, so please look at our Database A to Z directory to see a complete list of all the resources that Library Services pays for.  It is possible to filter the directory by subject and material type.

Finding ebooks

Ebooks are available via these databases in our collection.  It is advisable to use MetSearch and filter the results by Online Access and Resource Type to identify ebooks.

It is possible to download ebooks and read them offline.  You can download chapters and save as PDF's or download the entire book for a limited time using Adobe Digital Editions software.  See our detailed user guide for more guidance on how to do this.

Finding ejournals

Ejournals are available via these databases in our collection.  It is advisable to use MetSearch and filter the results by Online Access and Resource Type to identify ejournals.    

It is possible to download ejournals and read offline.  In the majority of cases you can save an article as a PDF.
