Why are we doing this?

Cardiff Met is committed to delivering efficient, forward-looking IT services, and providing an effective, user-centered working environment for its staff and students. We are currently undertaking multiple upgrades and improvements to our IT services, tools and technologies, to ensure we keep our promise to offer a Modern Desktop Environment.

 

The developments are focused on achieving the information services vision, to offer a much more user-centered working environment. Below is a breakdown of the benefits we expect to see as a result of the MDE Programme.


How will we deliver these changes?

Work within this Programme began in 2014 and is scheduled to come to an end in December 2018. Over this four-year period, multiple projects will be carried out to deliver different ways of working as well as new tools and technologies.
