The course is comprised of three mandatory training sessions, that are 1-hour long and an additional 2-3 hours of learning in the form a practical project assessment.
The first session
introduces some of the design principles required to create effective infographics. The Adobe Creative Cloud Express software and the infographics templates it offers are explored.
The second session examines some more design principles required to create effective infographics. We begin a fully worked example that demonstrates the process and considerations around creating an infographic.
The third session explores the final design principles required to create
effective infographics. We look at the ways in which Adobe Creative
Cloud Express templates can be customised to depict your data and make the design distinct.
The final component of the course is a practical project in which you will design and create an effective infographic.

Digital Badge Certification
Successful completion of the course leads to the
Infographic Designer digital badge and certificate.
The digital badge is issued by Cardiff Metropolitan University through the
Credly platform.
To complete the course and gain the digital badge, learners are required to complete the face-to-face training and pass a practical project assessment.
Earners of this badge understand the design principles behind effective infographics. They are able to apply those principles to design infographics that clearly and unambiguously present ideas and data. They understand the purpose behind infographics and are able to create informational or promotional graphics. They are able to use software such as Adobe Creative Cloud Express or Illustrator to create their infographics.
