The course is comprised of five mandatory training sessions, that are each 1-hour long and an additional 3-5 hours of learning in the form a practical project assessment.
The first session begins by detailing how to sign-up to the WordPress platform, and how to navigate through the WordPress dashboard and set-up your initial website.
The second session explains the differences between posts and pages, and looks at how to work with images within WordPress's media gallery.
The third session begins by detailing how to edit posts or pages, and how to then schedule and publish them.
The fourth session looks at how themes can be used to set the appearance of your site, and how to customise any themes that you choose to install.
The fifth session continues looking at how to use themes and how to finalise your website.
The final component of the course is a practical project in which you will create your own website using WordPress.

Digital Badge Certification
Successful completion of the course leads to the
WordPress Website Builder digital badge and certificate.
The digital badge is issued by Cardiff Metropolitan University through the
Credly platform.
To complete the course and gain the digital badge, learners are required to complete the live training and pass a practical project assessment.
Earners of the badge are able to create and edit a website using WordPress.com. They have proven that they are able to: sign-up for a WordPress website, set-up the initial dashboard, create (and edit) posts and pages. Earners of this badge are able to upload and edit images and embed video, customise themes and site appearance, and implement extras and widgets.
