Windows 10 Event - The Roundup
Article Date: 09/05/2016

On Wednesday 4th May, we held our Windows 10 Showcase event in both Llandaff and Cyncoed campuses.  Both stands had pride of place in the Cardiff School of Management's Atrium and Cyncoed Reception, and were ably manned by members of the Windows 10 project team.  In Llandaff we had Evan Quick, Andy Paterson, Mark Sadler, and Paul Mugleston whereas in Cyncoed we had Gareth Johns, Arwyn Jones, Richard Ward, and Barbara Thomas.

The purpose of the event was to showcase the benefits of Windows 10, and how they would apply to the staff and students of Cardiff Met.  Both stands presented these well, and off the back of that we had some staff members register their interest to become an Early Adopter of Windows 10 which was great to see!  It was clear that the most popular aspects of the event were both OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business, with people being surprised at how easy it was to access and store their documents across a wide range of devices.  Special mentions must go to both Arwyn and Paul, whose sales technique in drawing the crowds in were excellent.  Needless to say, the free Haribo and Drumstick lollies also went down well...
